ln the article the peculiarities of N.N. Alekseevs sociological views upon the problems of political elite are considered. The famous Russain legal philosopher and sociologist N.N.Alekseev was one of the firs in Russian science to make an attempt to compare such notions as «ruling class» and «political elite». ln the work became evident his contribution to the essence forms and role of elite strata in the life. A special attention is paid to the interpretation the signs of the ruling class and the specificity of its forming proposed in his works.
