Network and Hierarchical Format of Digital Propaganda in the Political Communicative Environment

The article is devoted to the analysis of the category of “digital propaganda” in the context of the development of political communicative and primarily tele-communicative environment. The emphasis is placed on considering the network and hierarchical format of digital propaganda, reflecting the specifics of the modern Internet environment. The reasons for the possible weakening of propaganda impact on social media are substantiated, measures to increase the effectiveness of digital propaganda are proposed.

“Ethnicity” and “Politicalness”: Inversion in Modern Mythology of Civil Political Subjectivity

The article is devoted to analysis of one of the reasons why today in the world, including Russia and “Western” states with long-standing liberal traditions, governing elites and civil societies’ critical attitude to institutions, values, and practices of liberal democratic policy is growing. The author explains the grow of such dissatisfaction by inversion of two stereotypical (social and mythological) civil identities and corresponding motivations for political participation.

New Paradigm of Modern State Political Designing

The article contains results of analysis of the historical change of paradigms presented by mass visions of the place and mission of a state within political process; the paradigms within which society designed political functionality of the “state of the future”. The author proves that in the face of pandemic and active fight of modern state institutions against it, social interest in optimization of political functions’ allocation between civil society and bureaucratic structures has risen.

The article analyzes the specifics of the use of game forms in the sociopolitical space, as well as in the formation of political culture of Russian youth. The paper identifies and considers in detail the main problem points associated with the use of game technologies for constructing the political culture of young people. The author reveals key features of the essential content of the categories of «game» and considers the basic conditions for the transition from game to reality, to the sociopolitical reality, detailing specific possibilities for making that transition. 

The Involvement of Young People in Social and Political Life in the Border Regions of South-Western Siberia: A Comparative Analysis

The aim of the study is to compare the participation of young people in the Altai Territory and the Novosibirsk Region in election campaigns in regional parliaments in 2004-2016. The indicated regions have the status of border territories, different levels of economic development and political competition among other Siberian regions. This study was conducted by analyzing the official websites of the Electoral Commissions of the Novosibirsk Region and Altai Territory.

Political Subjectivity of the Local Self-Government Bodies in Modern Russia: Main Outlines of the Reform

The article presents comprehensive assessment of the political subjectivity of local self-government bodies in modern Russia based on the analysis of such parameters as the legal status of the institution of local self-government, the division of powers between regional and municipal authorities, ways of forming municipal authorities, and the main indicators of the revenue and expenditure part of the municipal budget.

Approaches to Understanding the Terrorism Phenomenon and a Comparative Analysis of Its Definition in Key Jurisdictions of the World

The authors analyze terrorism from the point of view of definitions in the national jurisdictions of the USA, China, EU, and Russia. They also compare approaches to determine key features of this phenomenon in the papers of the most cited researchers of terrorism. National counterterrorism policies are governed by national laws, which depend on the doctrinal basics of the definition of terrorism. The authors use such methods as content analysis and comparative analysis of legislations to identify important aspects of these doctrinal foundations for USA, China, EU, and Russia.

The article analyzes the process of geopolitical transformation of contemporary world-system that began in the last decades of the 20th century – just after the defeat of the Soviet Union in the “cold war” that became a geopolitical “explosion”, geopolitical revolution, “geopolitical catastrophe”, as Vladimir Putin put it, which led to the termination of the existence of a bipolar geopolitical model, for many decades a highly reliable fastening system of international relations.
