Right-wing populism and the mainstream right in the USA and Canada party systems’ context: Possibility of Identifying conceptual diff erence

The article analyses existing problems of identification and analysis of the right-wing populism in the context of traditional democracies’ crisis and the attempts of searching for the new ways to attract the electorate base. With a drop in turnout in elections, a drop in voter confi dence, an increase in anti-establishment sentiments, as well as the development of political technologies, in the face of popularity of right-wing populism, the mainstream parties are faced a challenge of retaining the votes of general population in new conditions.

Features of National Discourse in the Activity of the Political Party «United Russia»

This article explores the use of elements of Russian nationalism in the discourse of the Russian political party «United Russia». Analyzes the reasons for «rotation» of the party in the direction of the national subjects, the main features of its implementation in the activities of the party, the ideological content of the party’s discourse, as well as the possible consequences of the mainstreaming of the national problem in the country».
