This article examines the professional trajectories of military doctors. The interviews with 28 military medical personnel are interpreted within the framework of dramaturgical sociology. The results are grouped into a tetrad based on the underlying motivations for choosing their profession, which are correlated with clusters in I. Yu. Surkova`s typology of active military personnel. The analysis of satisfaction with social status components was conducted, and groups of stability and risk of professional maladjustment were formed.
