The article considers main interpretations of the role of ideologies in the scholarly discourse of modern Russia. Based on the analysis of assessments of the main party technologies and specifi cs of the State Duma elections in 2021 presented in the research of domestic political scientists, generalizations are made about the reasons why ideological positions of most Russian parties are hybridized and functionality of systemic use of ideological values in parties’ pre-election activities is insuffi cient.
