This article explores the concept of creative potential of youth as an important psycho-social category that encompasses a combination of abilities, attitudes, and personal qualities aimed at generating new, original, and socially significant outcomes. Special attention is given to the relationship between the concepts of creativity and creative potential.

The content of creative potential development as a complex of received and independently acquired skills, competencies, abilities for creative action, as well as the measure of their implementation in the process of military service are specified. The self-assessment zones of consistent assessment of creative abilities development are substantiated: educational, as well as service-labor (practical).
