В статье рассматриваются особенности современного восприятия терминов «диаспора» и «национальное меньшинство». Большое внимание уделяется выявлению причин и факторов,
определяющих процесс межэтнической коммуникации в сложной поликультурной среде крупных городов.

The article is devoted to the actualization of the problems of national diasporas in Russia and the study of the features of the institutional design of this socio-political institution in modern Russia. On the example of the formation and functioning Of the representation Of the head of the Chechen Republic in the Saratov region, the authors show one of the trends of centralization and regulation of the national Diaspora in the modern regional political process, which is an integral part of the national policy.

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the diaspora as an institutional structure. Special emphasis is placed on the networking of diasporas in the global socio-economic space. The author notes that ethnic business plays a significant role in the development of global diasporal networks. The article emphasizes that diasporas, occupying one of the signifi cant places in the socio-economic space, are an indicator of the state of modern society.
