The article examines the state and specifics of the implementation of social policy by studying Saratov region. Social policy, aiming mainly at ensuring well-being and all-round development of individuals and society, as a whole, presents itself as one of the key activity directions of both the state administration and local governments. This policy is implemented by state-made decisions, social events and programs.

The article presents the analysis of the problem of domestic violence on the basis of domestic and foreign statistical data and the research results. Attention is focused on the aggravation of this problem during the pandemic of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 in many countries of the world.
