The problem of value orientations of the younger generation, including family values, attracts considerable attention of researchers, since they form the core of values of young people, occupying leading positions in the structure of basic value orientations. A certain type of relationship and upbringing is built within the family circle where traditions and life experience are passed on.

В статье рассматривается проблема демографического поведения молодежи, проводится анализ государственной политики на федеральном и региональном уровне. Представлены
взаимодействие различных уровней власти по ее реализации, мнение молодежи об эффективности их деятельности, предпочтительных мерах по стабилизации рождаемости, выявленных на
основе конкретно-социологических исследований, проведенных при участии автора.

В статье рассматриваются теоретические и прикладные аспекты  демографической  проблемы  –  рождаемости,  результаты 
конкретно-социологического исследования, в котором представлены: репродуктивные установки населения республики, их особенности, факторы, влияющие на рождаемость, и меры государства, направленные на ее стабилизацию в республике.

The article, on the basis of on sociological questionnaire survey, studies the value structure of contemporary rural women. Health, family and children occupy the main place, while religion and entertainment are of the least importance. Personal behavior in the countryside depends on social surroundings to a great extent. Customs, habits, traditions, as older generations` perception elements, influence childbirth attitudes greatly. Children form the basis and important component of healthy and full-fledged family.

The article on the results of sociological studies conducted in Saratov and Russia reveals the socio-demographic factors of the reproductive attitudes of young people. The analysis of the data revealed that with age the acceptable and appropriate period of birth of the first child increases, the level of childbearing in the reproductive practices of young people increases, and the responsible attitude towards the appearance of children increases. However, the majority of young people (57.3%) do not consider children as a guarantee of personal, family happiness.
