This article analyses the phenomenon of student self-governance in terms of the sociological approach. The term «student self-governance » considers three approaches: student self-governance as the independent activity of students, student self-governance as the form of educational work, student self-governance as the youth policy, and also in this article refers to the strengths and weaknesses of these approaches. The author emphasizes the idea that the student self-governance is an important factor of civil society development in Russia.

The article analyzes theoretical and methodological foundations of intergenerational communication in the social space. The ethnographic, historical-cultural, socio-demographic, sociological approaches to the study of generations are considered. The author’s definitions of the notions «generation», «generation space», are suggested and the process of hybridization space generation formation is analyzed.

In the article is analytically structured a sociological content of category «entrepreneurial potential» of rural society. Given the author’s vision of basic sociological parameters with sociological positions, structuring and describing the potential of rural entrepreneurship, examines the factors and conditions influencing its formation. Analyzed and assessed the current state of the social foundation of entrepreneurial initiatives of the rural population.

The article devoted to the study of the phenomenon of volunteer activities. particular attention is paid to the importance of civil society’s social position of young people, which is manifested through volunteering. The approaches to the analysis of volunteerism highlighted various forms, types and motivations of young people volunteering.
