В статье рассматриваются проблемы российских монопрофильных поселений с учетом зарубежного опыта реформирования подобных территорий. Анализируется опыт диверсификации моногородов Германии и Великобритании и возможность его применения в российских условиях

В статье анализируется проблема социального самочувствия молодежи в российском моногороде Вольске Саратовской области. Рассматриваются такие аспекты, как отсутствие рабочих мест на предприятиях, отток молодежи из моногорода, нехватка молодых специалистов,
увеличение численности пенсионеров в структуре населения моногорода, отсутствие перспектив развития для молодых людей.

The article examines the problem of Russian single-industry towns in terms of national and economic security. Particular attention is paid to the dynamics of the population in the peripheral Russian company towns (in the North, Siberia and the Far East) are considered territorial claims to Russia from neighboring countries and geopolitical threats.

В статье рассматриваются основные проблемы функционирования поселений особого типа – моногородов, оказавшихся в результате мирового финансового кризиса 2008–2009 гг. в весьма сложном экономическом положении. На примере конкретных моногородов Саратовской области исследуются перспективы диверсификации их деятельности и возможные точки роста в ближайшей перспективе.

The article examines the role of Russian single-industry entities (the towns’), in which the innovative production necessary for national economy types of products, in innovative development of the country, it is argued that such non-diversified education can be a potential growth points for future development of the domestic economy.

The article deals with the features of closed nuclear cities (CATF), identifying the environmental features. The problem of CATF is the completion of the Soviet atomic project, and the need of formating CATF. The development prospects of CATF are seen in rebooting and developing the industrial potential in the direction of nuclear energy technologies and science-intensive industrie.

The article considers the fundamental concept of «scientific and educational space» as the integration of two fundamental spheres – science and education, on the one hand, and the territorial space of our country, on the other. The article deals with the trends in the development of scientific and educational space and their interaction with the Russian urban environment and province. The problem of increasing the human and intellectual potential of the territory is studied.

This article presents the views on solving the current problems of Russian single-industry towns in the context of macroeconomic instability. The historical and economic aspects of the emergence of factory cities in tsarist Russia and the Soviet Union, the role of the phenomenon of single-industry towns in the development of the domestic material and technological base are investigated.
