Abstract:

The article presents the results of a comprehensive study of “Social Support Department” and “Employment Center”, implemented by the order of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Saratov region. The theoretical framework fi xes the key authors for this topic and marks the main approaches to understanding satisfaction. The complexity of this phenomenon is noted, which generates a variety of interpretations in both foreign and domestic research tradition. The author’s questionnaire of satisfaction factors is used, among which the main attention is paid to the system of material and non-material motivation, working conditions (material and technical support, convenience of an individual workplace), work and rest regime (work schedule, availability of overwork), subjective perception of work activity as signifi cant and interesting. The data are disaggregated by division and category (managerial staff , rank-and-fi le specialists). Separately, the emphasis is placed on the changes that have occurred in the work of social services employees in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic and  their impact on staff satisfaction. It has been observed that, despite the rising status of the social profession during the pandemic, fi nancial incentives continue to lag behind the workload, inevitably aff ecting employee satisfaction in social care organizations.
